Night Fishing in St. Petersburg
You See the Fish Before You Cast.
Night fishing is the trip where you get to watch the fish eat.
After dark, snook and redfish move up under the dock lights in the residential canals around St. Pete. The light pulls in bait. The bait pulls in fish.
We ease in quietly, spot them in the lit water and cast right to them. It's sight fishing, just at night.

Where We Fish at Night
Night trips stay inshore. The canals and shorelines we fish are close to the ramp, so the boat ride is short.
Most nights we're on fish within minutes of leaving the dock.
Away from the docks, we use underwater lights along the shoreline to find fish that aren't sitting under a light.
What You'll Catch
Snook and redfish are the main targets. Some of the biggest ones we see all year come out at night.
Other fish come through the lights too. Sharks are active after dark in Tampa Bay, and every so often something shows up that nobody planned on.
Snook and redfish both have seasons and size limits in Florida. Captain Dmitri will tell you on the spot what you can keep.
Why Fall Is the Best Time
Fall is our favorite season for night trips. The water clears up, and schools of baitfish start pushing into Tampa Bay. Big redfish and snook follow them in.
Clear water matters at night. It's what lets you see the fish in the lights and put a bait right in front of them.
Planning a trip another time of year? Ask Captain Dmitri what the night bite is doing when you book.

How a Night Trip Works
Night trips start in the evening and run a couple of hours. Captain Dmitri will recommend a start time when you book.
Everything you need is on the boat: rods, reels, tackle, live bait and your fishing license. You just show up with drinks and snacks.
Who It's For
Night trips are short, so they're a good fit for families and for anyone who doesn't want to spend hours in the Florida sun.
Kids are welcome. It's easy for them to follow along, because they can see the fish they're casting to.
It's also a good trip for experienced anglers who want a shot at a big snook.
